  • Great disease resistance
  • Whip up a delicious peach cobbler
  • Harvest from late August to September

Description

  • 'Inka' is an incredibly popular Polish peach variety, renowned for its delicious flavour and reliable nature.
  • Yielding heavy crops of good-sized, yellow fruit blushed with red patches, this variety also displays great disease resistance and good cold hardiness to boot.
  • Peach trees are self-fertile, meaning you don't need another tree in order to guarantee good crops of fruit.
  • You can use your peaches in a variety of ways; eat them fresh from the tree, bake them into pies, crumbles and cobblers, or use them to make a delicious compote!
  • RHS Plants for Pollinators; peach trees have been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society as displaying particularly good value to bees and other pollinating insects.

How To Grow

Excellent pest and disease resistance.

This variety displays great resistance to peach leaf curl (Taphrina deformans).

Water well when establishing

Peach trees should be watered routinely throughout their first year to help them establish, and during growing seasons thereafter.

Full sun

Plant somewhere that your peach tree will receive at least six hours of direct sunlight per day.

Any fertile, moist, well-drained soil

Peach trees appreciate a deeper soil with good drainage; this helps mitigate against problems like root rot.

Feed in late winter

Towards the end of winter, give your peach tree a feed with high-potassium fertiliser.
