Description

  • Crimson Glory Vine is hard to beat for fantastic foliage - and not just in autumn! The broad, fresh green leaves grow vigorously up to heights of 15m and turn to stunning shades of orange, scarlet and crimson later in the year
  • Tiny green summer flowers are followed by small black ornamental grapes
  • Suitable for any size of garden - simply prune to fit
  • RHS Award of Garden Merit winner
  • A very strong growing and hardy plant that's ideal for adding life and colour to walls, pergolas and structures
  • Low maintenance and easy to get going
  • Please Note: Our climbers are pruned back each winter, and some during the summer, so you may find at certain times of year they do not cover the whole 90cm cane. This is intentional to ensure the best growth when you plant out

How To Grow

Good pest and disease resistance

May be affected by powdery mildews and botrytis - keep plants well spaced with plenty of airflow.

Water well at first

Water frequently when your plant is newly planted and getting established. After that, water during dry spells and avoid the soil drying out. This variety has great drought tolerance when established.

Full sun to partial shade

Plant where your vine will get at least 4-6 hours of sunlight every day during spring and summer. This variety can handle some dappled shade.

Any fertile well-draining soil

Vines can tolerate a range of soil types, provided they are free draining.

No feeding needed

No need to feed, but it can be helpful to dig in plenty of well rotted compost or manure when planting
