Hazel Trees
Beautiful, easy to grow and they give you nuts too - what more could you ask from a tree?
Hazels and filberts are UK natives, so wildlife loves them (maybe a bit too much... pesky squirrels!). Moths and butterflies flit around the clusters of pollen rich catkins, birds nest in the branches and early bees will thank you for the handy source of nectar. Choose from twisty corkscrew branches, purple leaves, pink catkins - this is a tree with a lot to love. Use the bendy stems for pea sticks and bean poles on your veg plot, or try your hand at water divining!
